Puyo Puyo Tetris 2: a nice puzzle game with RPG elements

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is a puzzle game developed by Sonic Team for PC and major consoles. The publisher is Sega, the powerful Japanese multinational video game developer. It is a sequel of Puyo Puyo, originally created by Compile in 1991. If you enjoyed the first game of what is now a series, than you'll love this new release, not only upgraded to the current specs of latest game consoles, but also with many new additions. It has a new story mode and its harder than before (for those people that enjoy a hard game). If you are new to the game, chances are you will like this title, a fusion of puzzles with RPG elements. Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is a game that you should play.

The single player mode is a lot of fun. I have had plenty of fun trying out the single player mode and picking a character. I have not played through all of the characters but there were a lot of familiar faces like Arle and Carbuncle from the original Puyo Puyo, and ones that I have yet to play as such as Ringo and Tee. Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 provides just that via its Adventure Mode, which provides you an excuse to play a series of conflicts while going through a goofy story that is heavy on references to the first crossover game. The game looks great on all consoles, but among the PS5 games it looks a little bit "old school".

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is a worthy successor to the first video game, expanding upon the original premise with additions like skills conflicts but keeping that same addictive gameplay puzzle lovers will love. Most battles take place in versus mode, switching between Tetris and Puyo Puyo gameplay. There's also an Adventure story more effort composed of different battles against computer opponents and mode-specific challenges, and six single-player Challenge modes; Endless Fever, Endless Puyo, and Tiny Puyo for its Puyo fashion; Sprint, Marathon, and Ultra for your Tetris style. When you are looking to buy cheap games, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 seems a good choice.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is a superb mix of two beloved puzzlers that delivers with its highly addictive gameplay, creative gameplay modes, and solid multiplayer. You can attempt to work out the best way to clear huge sections of a preset board in Black Hole mode, handle boards with Puyo Puyo or even Tetris games that swap out periodically, or perhaps play pieces from both games at once. I recommend this game to new comers and lovers of the series.
