Obsidian Entertainment specializes in creating the world's most beloved interactive role-playing games including Fallout: New Vegas, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Alpha Protocol, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, the Pillars of Eternity franchise, and the recently released The Outer Worlds. This amazing action-RPG video game is probably among the best ps4 games you can find on a game shelf.
The Outer Worlds PS4 is an impressive spiritual successor to Obsidian's work on Fallout: New Vegas, mixing familiar design elements and the same zany attitude with an imaginative new universe and even deeper role-playing. In many respects, this is a beefed-up take on Obsidian's last foray into Fallout: combat with both guns and melee weapons; branching conversations that sometimes open up alternate paths through the story; exploration with plenty of sidequests to discover; companions to recruit to your party; and a main quest that drops you in the middle of a dispute between two factions, forced to decide the fate of the local population.
As anyone who played 2010's Fallout: New Vegas can attest, Obsidian Entertainment is among the best in the business when it comes to building role-playing games that truly live up to the name of the genre. I must admit, I was skeptical about The Outer Worlds, the new single-player first-person RPG sci-fi game from Obisidian, but once I played it, I couldn't believe what a great game I've got within other ps4 games I purchased. With the next Elder Scrolls game still years away and Fallout 76 turning that franchise into an MMO, a certain segment of gamers are hungry for single-player first-person action/RPG games with strong narrative cores.
Players who don't play a lot of ps4 shooters can invest their skill points into ways to expand and extend the time dilation, giving them an easier shooting experience that's less reliant on twitch reflexes. The Outer Worlds will never be mistaken for anything other than an Obsidian game, but the latest entry from the RPG old hands almost plays like a greatest hits. The Outer Worlds is AA through-and-through and doesn't have the same luster or expansiveness of games like Fallout 4. You won't see a huge 100+ storyline with tons of sidequests, collectibles, or big mod support.
It feels more reactive, complex, and mindful of the player's actions than similar games in its genre, including Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, and fans have been waiting for Obsidian to make another Fallout title ever since (Others have argued that New Vegas is overrated and romanticized) With few exceptions, I almost never replay games. I think about it a lot, but I never do it. With Bethesda's RPG series, like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, I always think about replaying an RPG over, making different choices than I made the first time, and seeing how things play out. When you are looking to buy cheap ps4 games, give it a chance to The Outer Worlds, even if you are not into RPG games. You will not regret it!
