GRID arcade racing game is a solid choice
Codemasters’ Grid series of racing games gets its first new entry in five years with the release of Grid this Friday for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Aside from the single-player career mode’s 104 events set across 22 locations, there’s online-only multiplayer and free play. GRID by Codemasters is a wonderful PS4 game, and certainly one of the best PS4 racing video games out there.
The core racing experience feels great. The GRID World Series provides a lot of events to play through, but you will often race on the same tracks over and over again which does become a bit of a drag after longer play sessions.Like its eclectic car list, Grid will come with a mix of dedicated race tracks and city circuits for players to drive on. What we have here is a supremely polished and playable arcade racer with a large swathe of racing challenges stretched thinly over a scant array of tracks and a nice selection of perfectly rendered cars. We played GRID on PlayStation, this is why we refer to GRID PS4 racing game, but everything hold true about GRID on other game consoles.
A racing game obviously wouldn’t be a racing game without cars and GRID, well GRID has plenty of racing cars from several different classes such as tuners right through to stock racers. We consider GRID one of the best ps4 games of racing, and for good reason. As with most modern racing games, GRID has a meaty career and an online multiplayer, which will provide all the spills and thrills you need whilst listening to a 12-year-old gloating at you down the headset. GRID has the flexibility to leave the career path down to the player.
It’s a fairly straightforward career mode with simplistic menus and a very basic economy (earn money, buy cars.). You can still design vinyls at least and you do have a teammate that you can issue basic commands to during the race but it’s a far cry from the career mode of the first Grid or even Grid 2. GRID among ps4 games ranks well, players being happy with the single-player experience. The career mode features a fulfilling campaign as you have a multitude of cars and tracks to race on throughout the Career Mode if you choose to go thru them all. Each event involves an objective you must complete to unlock more events and the goal won’t always be to win the race. Whilst rewards are available for race wins that are consistent, sometimes you’ll only have to finish in a target position to progress.
Invitational features 26 occasions, with a variety of cars that are extraordinary and exotic leading to a Showdown event. GRID is a good game title. One thing that defined the series when it began was a defined structure and a distinctive premise to its career mode. You had there to a sense of individuality that is not present today and it hurts the overall experience. Fortunately, the core racing action is still top-shelf and the nemesis system keeps you doing your best to exploit it depending on your play style or avoid contact and glued to the race. This reboot is not my favorite in the franchise, but it is the best-playing experience that is on-track even if the rest of the game doesn’t quite match its greatness. We recommend to buy cheap ps4 games like this one when you have the chance - GRID is certainly one of the best racers (arcade racers).
