Destiny 2 is a video game developed by Bungie  and released in 2017 by Activision. In 2019 the publishing rights were purchased by Bungie, the American video game developer. Destiny 2 is a sci-fi, tactical, fps, role-playing, multiplayer, co-op, mmo video game.


Players assume the role of a Guardian, protectors of Earth's last safe city as they wield a power known as Light to guard the previous City from other alien races. One of those races, the Cabal, led by the warlord Dominus Ghaul, infiltrate the Previous Town and strips all Guardians of the Light.


The player sets out on a journey to recover their Light and discover a way to conquer Ghaul and his Red Legion military and take back the previous City. Like the first Destiny, the game features expansion packs that further the story and adds fresh content and assignments. A third, large growth, Forsaken, premiered in September 2018, starting Year Two with a overhaul on gameplay. The few expansions and the game were packed into Destiny 2: Forsaken Legendary Collection. Year Three will start with the huge growth, Shadowkeep, scheduled for September 2019 as a standalone release, not needing the prior expansions to play.
