Hello Neighbor 2 - a point-and-click stealth horror game

Hello Neighbor 2 is a beautiful point-and-click stealth horror game with many puzzles and a large map. Quentin, the main character, is walking across the road toward Raven Brooks within the neighborhood. Raven Brooks is the town where the action is taking place - the map. It is your turn to enter the abandoned home to search for clues and discover a strange animal-like creature that looks like a bird living in it. Players can go on to explore Raven Brooks in a survival horror style but stay true to its roots covering the original stealth horror theme. Raven Brooks is an open environment.

Hello Neighbor 2 - a point-and-click stealth horror game

The stealth horror game focus less on "in-your-face" terror and instead on subtler horror to show that the inhabitants are creepy or spooky while establishing a sense of anxiety within the video console game. It has a creepy vibe, indeed. I will say it feels quite mysterious as well. The plot is thin, and viewers don't have any clue about the character's motivations or what's going on in the city. The game was unique and allowed players to think outside of the box as they explored the growing home regarding the neighbor, revealing his mysterious secrets.

The storyline - Solve the Mystery of Mr. Peterson.

The character is a local journalist named Quentin, who is investigating the disappearance of children disappearance; trying to find out where the missing Mr. Peterson is and what occurred to the children. The new design of Mr. Peterson's house which now is realistic in its features and proportions, suggests the actual events happen too. Play against a sophisticated self-learning AI that learns and adapts to your every move. Hello Neighbor 2 is a hidden-camera horror video console game that has you being pursued by a mysterious creature as you attempt to find The Neighbor, Mr. Peterson (The Neighbor) that has disappeared after what happened in the first console game.

Sophisticated AI - Quite a lot of Problems

A major selling point in video console game marketing was the sophisticated AI that can conform to not only your style of play but also the whole community. I learned this when the game's AI broke down in a few levels, allowing us to freely move around, and finish my objective. However, it is not the AI that makes Hello Neighbor 2 one of the top Xbox adventure games. In fact, it is the opposite. It is sad when one of the strongest features in your own admission proves to be the worst possible thing. AI is dragging this game down, and until improvements to it do not show up, Hello Neighbor 2 cannot be among the top choices.

Hello Neighbor 2 - Conclusion

Hello Neighbor 2 received mixed reviews. It is no surprise because the foundation is solid, and the puzzles and characters are enjoyable. But there is no denying that Hello Neighbor 2 is unpolished, it lacks performance - even on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S seems slow, and it is plagued by bugs and problems with the AI. There are relevant negatives, as well as many positives, hence the eclectic views. In my opinion, this game is recommended with caveats. For example, if you can find it among the cheap Xbox games, by all means, try it. Also, if you are a fan of the series and enjoyed the 2017's Hello Neighbor, there is no denying Hello Neighbor 2 is a step forward.
