Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is a shooter worth buying

What is Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War?

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is the latest shooting video game from Activision, the sixth installment of the series, a game set between the Call of Duty Black Ops (2010) and Call of Duty Black Ops II (2012) - it is a sequel of the first and a prequel of the second.

Does Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War worth buying?

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is the most recent and most advanced shooter on the market, a game that improved on many aspects and it runs on the new PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. It improves the well-known gameplay over the single-player campaign, multiplayer and Zombie mods. Wile the campaign is not quite there in terms of content, the shooting, multiplayer, story, graphics and sounds are top of the class. It is a FPS video game worth buying, especially for those running on PS5 with the DualSense controllers.

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is a nice addition to Treyarch's series. It is one of the best ps4 shooting games, even if to experience the best will be better to play it on PS5. Now we know that Modern Warfare, or at least the reboot, takes place in exactly the same deadline as Black Ops 1, 2, and Cold War. At the latter, you take part in a mission that takes them into the headquarters of the KGB. There, they briefly encounter Imran Zakhaev in his role as a Soviet military officer. It's a particularly interesting mission, really --one which makes a few changes from the regular CoD formula that we don't want to spoil. Cold War launched into a new environment for the Call of Duty game series, as Modern Warfare and the battle royale game Warzone continue to be immensely popular with their own dedicated playerbases. As such, industry-watchers were closely observing the first sales results for Cold War, which we now know to be quite strong.

Black Ops Cold War Campaign

Black Ops Cold War Campaign

Turns out, Activision did not sprout from the ground fully formed as a Call Of Duty money-printing machine. Shocking, I know, but it seems that the publishers were making cupboard game titles all of the way back in the 80s -- coincidentally, the same era in which Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War takes place. Treyarch's latest shooter pays homage to the publisher's arcade roots, with playable classics hidden across the espionage thriller's campaign. If Xbox shootin games is your cup of tea, prepare for the best drink you have lately. The campaign isn't going to go down as one of the best, but Treyarch has tried to make it more than an add-on to the main attraction of Call of Duty: the multiplayer. Tasked with quitting a mysterious Russian known only as Perseus, you must track him down before he sets off several nukes and causes untold destruction. You will give them a name, choose their gender to be either male, female, or non-binary, and add a couple of perks like doing more harm or reloading quicker.

Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer mode

Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer mode

Fireteams is a 40-person mode with four-person squads, and it features large-scale, team-based firefights similar to Call of Duty's free-to-play battle royale, Warzone. But, Fireteams takes a more focused approach, without the unchecked chaos of Warzone (and without the threat of being booted). If you love working with your buddies in big battles and huge maps, this is the best chance to show off your teamwork. While the mode could be fun with random people, you're going to want to bring three buddies you can talk to on voice chat for the best results -- if you queue up and spray-and-pray like a team deathmatch, you are going to get demolished. VIP Escort plays out like Search and Destroy, and if you are not playing with friends it is nowhere near as entertaining. The main purpose is to guide your VIP to an extraction point. It requires talking to each other and deciding on the best course of action, so if you're with strangers that are muted or do not want to talk, it may take a miracle to pull it off. All great reasons to buy Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War PS4, Xbox One, PS5, or Xbox Series X/S. The game is also available for PC owners.

Black Ops Cold War

Black Ops Cold War Zombies

At its heart, Zombies is still about slaying the undead and surviving rounds with the help of iconic perk-a-cola beverages like Juggernog, and the limited-time powerups like double points and insta-kills. However, it just feels more in tune with Call of Duty's arcade mode. What can be said more about fighting zombies? It is insanely fun! I guess you can buy Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Xbox only for this feature. Maybe I exaggerate a little, but it is quite entertaining and I like it that it is also very relaxing. And it's not bad, just something a little different. What I love about Zombies is that your progression carries over to multiplayer and vice versa. Your rank will increase between the two, and it helps to level up you regardless of which online style is your favourite. The PlayStation-exclusive Onslaught style strips it back to two-player only, and whilst it might not be as good as Die Maschine, it is still a great deal of fun.
