Predator: Hunting Grounds: A Genuine Violent Romp

Predator: Hunting Grounds is an asymmetric multiplayer game developed by Illfonic and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PS4 and PC, and it’s based on the popular horror franchise. One player controls the Predator while four others control soldiers trying to complete mundane objectives. I would give you a quick overview of what the game is and isn’t and let you know my likes and dislikes. I know the Predators movies were great, how about this video game? Do we have in front one of the best ps4 shooter games?
First things first... this isn’t a triple A video game. With that it’s definitely worth a buy if you’re a fan of this franchise. Does it have problems? Yes. Do things maybe need patches? Yes. But it’s still fun, especially if you played and liked “Friday the 13th” like I did. In time, I am sure the developers will fix the server wait times and this will be seen as it is: a fantastic video game, a videogame worth of your ps4 games collection. With Fox and the DLC content giving the okay to use the franchise, Sony stays on solid ground and I am sure the franchise will be better and better.
We've seen the new ps4 games released recently and we have a base to compare. Predator: Hunting Grounds doesn’t just dump everyone into a stadium and call it a day. Instead, the two sides spawn in different spots in the South American jungle, and this is a dead ringer for the lush foliage in the 1987 film that is original. When the match starts, the fireteam has a franchise of objectives they need to complete before they can get to the chopper and their successful extraction. Whether you’re tracking stolen artifacts down, obtaining data from servers, or destroying a drug operation, they generally play out exactly the same. You hold down the button, find and head to the next waypoint. Then it’s off to the next set, and then the ultimate ex-filtration. These never feel like anything aside from the busywork they are. They are not interesting in and of themselves, but they serve their purpose, which is turning your squad.
Predator: Hunting Grounds really nails the tension of being on some of either side, the matchmaking times are very long and although now there is content. With a solid base, we can only expect updates to make the most of it.  It can be frustrating to play occasionally and is a faulty experience. Regardless of those flaws, I could see myself returning especially to play as the Predator. Sadly, the level of enjoyment hurt. I love to buy cheap ps4 games, however this is not well priced in my opinion. Luckily there are a few stores that offer great discounts and you can buy it for a fraction of the cost.
Predator: Hunting Grounds launched on April 24, 2020 for both PlayStation 4 and PC. The game comes from the publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Illfonic, known for another asymmetrical video game “Friday the 13th: The Game”. Despite its flaws and glitches, I would recommend to buy Predator Hunting Grounds. In my opinion, many future games will adopt the asymmetrical gameplay and this (as the Friday 13th: The Game) is a good place to start. I also like the atmosphere created and sountrack. As someone who love the movies with Predator, I appreciate the franchise and I am confident that all issues will be fixed soon.
